Russell is a founding member of Art + Autonomy Salon and a dedicated advocate for mastering his craft through advanced education. He has studied with Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, and Redken style educators, and has trained with top industry color professionals from L'Oréal and Redken. He is also an accomplished cut educator, serving as Artistic Director for KARG Inc., where he teaches both in the classroom and on stage. His mission is to share his passion for haircutting, help peers select the correct tools, and inspire creativity.

Guided by classic techniques and a keen artistic eye, Russell approaches precision cutting and hair design with creativity, intention, and technical excellence. As a short hair specialist and master of barbering techniques, he has been featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and served as a men’s grooming spokesperson for Men’s Wearhouse. His mission in education is to share his passion for haircutting, help peers select the perfect tools, and inspire creativity.

Russell has participated in multiple seasons of New York Fashion Week, working with designers including Monique Lhuillier, 3.1 Phillip Lim, The Row, Theyskens' Theory, Jad Ghandour, and Katie Gallagher. He has also contributed to editorial photo shoots and has been featured in several respected industry publications.
